Note, there is a minor packaging error in 2.20 tarball that will be resolved in 2.21 later today.

This doesn't affect the Mac build, so there probably won't be a release announcement for it as there was for 2.20.

When 2.21 is available I'll put a link to it on this thicket.

Assigning to myself, so we avoid duplicating efforts. I will take a look
at it tomorrow. Also tagging with the desktop-upgrade.

 assign kklimonda
 tag desktop-upgrade

Maring in-progress & assigning to kklimonda per his request on #ubuntu-bugs

Changed in transmission (Ubuntu):
assignee: nobody → Krzysztof Klimonda (kklimonda)
status: New → In Progress

Lets see if I can at least tag it properly.
 tag desktop-upgrade

2.21 resolves these launchpad tickets:
710003 crash on missing script
685816 Delete a Tracker
676325 Transmission loses track of downloaded content on unmounted external drives
661947 Transmissions fails with "too many open files"
655024 Using higher cpu usage
648354 Filesize is sometimes hard to read in "Files" tab

2.21 should resolve these localization tickets, but I can't vouch for them:
653529 Transmission uses 'Trash' instead of 'Rubbish Bin' in en_GB
625923 Russian in Chinese localization

We are not going to release 2.21 in natty as the transition to libevent2 is not doable at this point given problems that I've already encountered. Furthermore I don't want to add burden on a security team by linking transmission against libevent2 statically, against their explicit recommendation not to do that.
I'm planning on doing the upload as early into natty+1 cycle as possible.
