Bug Description
Binary package hint: transmission
It is extremely difficult to know what files are completely downloaded and which are only partials.
Transmission itself does know which files are not yet complete, but by listing a directory it is impossible to know what files are usable without opening Transmission and doing a visual, line-by-line comparison. And, if for any reason the file has been taken off the download queue before it was completed, there is no way to know that the file is missing a bit.
Transmission should put partial downloads in a temporary directory or mark them as temporary (by simply adding suffix .tmp or .transmission, for instance) until download is completed. Without this, its usability is severely hindered in all but the simplest uses.
