Segmentation fault after UI elements misplaced

Not sure how it started and what causes it, but now every time I open the properties window of a torrent, some UI labels would be misplaced (i.e. text appears in the wrong places in the UI).
After a few minutes of these UI issues, transmission crashes with Segmentation fault.

Running it from the terminal shows a lot of GTK error messages, e.g.:
