This crash occured while torrents was downloading in progress, but transmission not yet got ended/restarted even after this bug submission...

Thus bug occured when transmission was closing and sending data to trackers.

For me, Transmission crashed when I have opened and immediately closed the application (with some active torrents).

Appeared on 16.04 alpha 2. Didn't have this bug before, so some update or change triggered it.

In the upstream bug report the dev wrote "patch which prevents crashes on session close (at least the ones related to evdns_getaddrinfo_cancel)". So it doesn't look like it covers this case.

Also Fedora users had the same crash in Fedora 21 and 22. Bug reports have been closed because the releases reached EOL.
