gtk file open dialog hangs for about 10 secs while opening

Bug Description

When I click on File->Open in OpenOffice (or most other applications), the application hangs at least for 10 seconds or more. In this time, it does not respond at all.

I'm also experiencing this behavior.
This started after I upgraded to 9.04 from 8.10 last week.

Steps to reproduce:
- Open, for example, Firefox or Evince.
- Select File -> Open file
- Watch a hang for a few seconds.

It seems to be related to the GTK/GNOME filebrowser.

I'll keep investigating and post again if I figure anything out.

Killing trackerd solves the problem. Why?

Moving ~/.local/share/tracker somewhere else, logging out and in again solved my problem.
