Bug Description
Binary package hint: tracker
After upgrading from Ubuntu 8.10 to 9.04 every time I login the tracker-applet reports a crash: "Tracker Applet: Tracker: There was an error while performing indexing: Index corrupted".
I have to choose between the buttons "Reindex all contents", "Cancel" and "OK".
It's all the same which button I press, the same dialogue box appears again and again.
The cpu load is at 100% all the time (tracker-index is running, after killing this process the cpu load decreases to a normal value).

Thank you for your bug report. The issue about the dialog appearing and not being able to be cancelled is already reported as bug 361205. The issue about the corruption is reported separately as bug 346912. I'm marking this as a duplicate of bug 361205. Please feel free to test the jaunty-proposed package as described here: https:/ /bugs.edge. launchpad. net/ubuntu/ +source/ tracker/ +bug/361205/ comments/ 28
