Tracker cannot run, reports corrupt files. Also The Gimp fails to open completely, only the toolbox available.

Please don't report multiple issues on the same bug report. The tracker corruption issue is already reported in bug 346912. The use of the fallback notification and the fact that pressing the reindex button doesn't work is reported in bug 361205, so I'm marking this as a duplicate of that one.
