Bug Description

Some times while typing Jaunty, characters suddenly stop appearing on the screen. This has happened both in the terminal and in Firefox. I've noticed that selecting "Pause All indexing" from the magnifying glass icon enables me to type again. I also recall some of the text I typed earlier appearing on the screen after I select the pause option.

The bug is still present. However, I have noticed that it only appears for some time after a reboot while the magnifying glass says "indexing".

I might have been slightly wrong. "Crawling the file system" seems to be the real killer. Effects of indexing aren't necessarily as serious.
