This bug is still there in 0.6.6-0ubuntu3 on 8.04 - affects files with a space anywhere in the path.

Is this posted in the right place, as it doesn't seem to be getting much attention :(

hello,

thanks for your great work.

my ubuntu 8.04.1 is up to date with the already mentioned package versions:

tracker-search-tool 0.6.6-0ubuntu3.8.04.1

but this bug still exists (for nearly a year now).
is there noone who is willing and able to fix it?

tonight i will test the tracker-search-tool in the beta of 8.10 and will report again.

hello again,

okay one thing is fixed in 8.10 beta with this version:

tracker-search-tool 0.6.6-1ubuntu5

you can open documents with spaces in their names by double clicking on them.
but that brings us to the next part: the content of files with spaces in their name in seems no to be indexed...

it would be very great if this can be fixed before the release of 8.10...

hi ben,

that's great news the one bug has been fixed, but not so good about the other.

i don't think anyone's following this bug report. i posted the previous one to the tracker mailing list http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/tracker-list and it got a response within seconds. i suspect that's the only reason the one bug has been fixed.

i've unsubscribed from the list now (high traffic!), but i recommend you do the same for this one - or i can at some point.
