Tracker Error log being generated on every boot

Tracker runs for several minutes and slows things down appreciably on both 14.04 and 14.10. In addition, a crash log is being generated on every boot with the same message:

Thu Oct 16 09:48:14 EDT 2014 crash report /var/crash/_usr_lib_tracker_tracker-miner-fs.1000.crash detected.

I have another partition that I use for testing alphas and such. It's also running Ubuntu Gnome 14.10 but does not have the same issue.
