Bug Description

Binary package hint: totem

If someone doesn't understand I can try to get a screenshot, but this seems to be a completely xine based issue, it does not appear when playing videos with the xine backend, or with the gstreamer backend ever.

Thank you for your bug. What version of ubuntu do you use? Does it happen with any video or some format only?

I'm working with a current feisty and the latest totem, I think thats 2.17.5-0ubuntu2. This happens to all videos that totem tries to thumbnail, irreguardless of format.

I have the same problem. I upgraded from edgy to feisty two days ago. All thumbnails created prior to the upgrade are normal. All thumbnails created after have a blue overlay. This seems to happen to all video formats.

What videocard do you use? Do you have any error if you run totem-video-thumbnailer from a command line?
