Bug Description
Binary package hint: totem-mozilla
In order to play BBC streams and certain other media formats on amd64, one _must_ use mozilla-mplayer.
Unfortunately, totem-mozilla BLOCKS mozilla-mplayer from being the default player in Firefox. This prevents streams such as .ra from being played properly through mozilla-mplayer.
Further, if you wish to remove the totem-mozilla virus, it seeks to remove the ubuntu-desktop package which is problematic to say the least.

Thanks for your bug. Being disrespectful with other people work will not make them listen to you, totem-mozilla is nowhere near of a "virus" like you call it. You are free to remove the ubuntu-desktop package too. Anyway that's a duplicate, marking it duplicate then
