Thanks for your bug. Could you describe what keys you want to change, the version you use, etc?

I'm using 2.16.1-1ubuntu1. Cause I have a Samsung X60 laptop with an integrated irda remote control that emulates key presses I need to change the "most important" keys in totem to get it working with the remote control.

That would be play/pause, next chapter, previous chapter, up, down, left, right (for example in dvd menus), OK and back. VLC does a quite good job and allows to change every hotkey but more and more I'm getting used to totem...

Did you try to change multimedia keys to the GNOME keyboard capplet?

Preferences - Keyboard Shortcuts or what do you mean?

right, did you try to change the multimedia keys from that dialog to be the ones from your remote control?

from your remote control device

Sorry I'm not able to try this anymore. I've changed my laptop... it should have worked in general.

But I'm missing some video shortcuts at "Keyboard Shortcuts". There is only "Sound".

I'm using 2.20.0 and I can't find *any* method of setting shortcut keys. Ideally, there would be something like that in the plain Xine player that lets you map any mouse or key combination to an action (eg: play-pause, full-screen, volume up and down).
