Bug Description

Binary package hint: totem

Hi,

Each time i play a video in a browser (firefox or chromium), the volume of the totem player is on zero. I can move the slider up, and the sound works. But the next time I play a video it's reset again.

Seems like a bug to me. It should behave in one of the following ways:
- set to a non-zero default
- remember the last setting (preferrably)

Let me know if you need more info.

I can confirm this bug.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start firefox / chromium-browser .
2. Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:I-15bis.ogg .
3. Click on the blue play video button beneath the picture of the plane.
4. Click on More… beneath the playing video.
5. Click on Totem .

Expected result:
Video to play and the sound of a biplane to be heard.

Actual result:
Video plays but no sound is heard.

How frequently does the problem occur?

Which itself looks like a dup of Bug 527432 (which contains a workaround).
