Bug Description

Binary package hint: totem

When you open a playlist, change some entries, and then click on the Save Playlist button, it does not point to the playlist file you just opened.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Close Totem if opened
2. In Nautilus, open a pls file (make sure it starts Totem)
3. In Totem, click on the Save Playlist button

Now you have to search for the playlist again.

Note that once you save once, any subsequent saves *will* point to the playlist file, until you close Totem. That's the reason for step 1.

there's a bug upstream about this: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=555930.
comment from the maintainer:

"The playlist isn't the object you're manipulating, you're manipulating videos.
Contrast this to a word processor where you're actually manipulating the
document, not the individual pages or words.

If you opened the playlist using one of the file choosers, it should re-use the
same directory when you're about to save.

Let me know if it doesn't."

works fine that way here, could you please test the same and comment back? Thanks.

I responded to the GNOME bug report. If I open the playlist using the Totem file chooser, the Save button does not remember the file name.
