How do I test this with which command strace or gdb
when I click on the
search
 it does this

Yes I did. Unfortunately I had to downgrade software system because of grub bug.
Getting back up to same state and making sure one package at a time is installed correct.

I had a serious issue a discussed in testcase I know not very in depth. But either way I am building state again but with manual not automatic selections.

I have attempted to replicate this many since rebuild times and maybe one of the updates solved it.
using kernel 31.16
