Totem 2.27 uses the CPU at a 100% and the movies have been played at a very slow speed.

I'm using Karmic. The file types that give me the problem are "avi" and "wmv", but those are the only movie file types that I have and that's why I can't say if the bug will appear with playing other files.

Also if I reboot with the 2.6.28-14 kernel the problem disappears.

Thank you for your bug report. The issue is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)

it appears that Xv doesn't get initialized on my system, so this is not a bug in Totem itself.
I'm attaching my xorg.0.log and lspci -vvnn so to diagnose the problem.
