Bug Description
Ubuntu 9.04 amd64
0. login as second user (switch user) on VT-9 for example
1. as first user (on VT-7) play a video in totem (or VLC, or kaffeine)
2. switch to VT-9
3. the video (in VT-7) is muted until you switch back
I seen this bug as well around 1-2 years ago AFAIR.
The video seems to not be paused, but muted - there is no sound.

using -vo null to mplayer does not help (so it doesn't seem to be a problem with blocking video device etc)
