Subtitle Downloader plugin does not work

The Subtitle Downloader plugin never worked for me, It always says that it couldn't connect to opensubtitles. No matter what movie is on.

Yes, It is reproducible on two jaunty machines that I've tried it on. Steps
I've been taking is just opening a movie in totem, after enabling the
plugin, openning View > Download Movie Subtitles, and click Find.
It says "Searching..." for a while then "Could not contact the OpenSubtitles
website."

Not confirming the issue but it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug the to the people writting the software (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME)

I am on Ubuntu KK 9.10 and this plugin works great without any problems.

I have the same problem.

How can I fix that?

It kinda sometimes work and sometimes doesn't. There's a connectivity
problem with the opensubtitles server.
