[dapper] totem-gstreamer hangs after a file is played

when duoble-clicking a videofile in nautilus, totem-gstreamer opens and plays the file. after that totem hangs and is unresponsive to any ui interaction. the same happens if you enable the sidebar and choose some files, after the first video is played, totem hangs.

starting totem from command line gives no hint, just a gtk-warning

(totem:14808): Gtk-WARNING **: Theme directory 16x16/status16x16/stock/chart of theme gnome has no size field

this is with dapper uptodate as of now (06. feb. 2006).
graphics driver is fglrx.

Thanks for your bug. Does it happen on some specific video or with any video you can try?

with every file so far (some .avi and .mpg).
BUT totem-gstreamer doesn't play a lot of files at this stage. it refuses every .wmv, .mov, dvd, you name it. but i guess this is another issue :)

some (good?) news here:
after applying all updates from the last two days, this behaviour is gone! i used the () because the fact that there were no video related updates as far as i remember.

i knew i had to wait to post the former comment...
i found only *one* file that not causes this bug, so on every other file it continues to freeze. (when invoke via nautilus and the sidebar thingy)

Could you get a backtrace of the hang? When totem hangs while playing:
- gdb $(pidof totem)
(gdb) thread apply all bt

and copy that to a comment

sorry for coming back late, but i was offline for a few days...
so now online again, i applied all updates as of now and the problem disappeared. _this_ time i double/triple/... checked this with all videofiles totem-gstreamer will play (mpegs and avis mostly) and totem now no longer hangs as described in my first bug report.

though a bit confusing, is that totem now doesen't autoplay the videos anymore file after file, if you add more then one file in the sidebar. out of curiousity i fired up gdb to see if i would get any output, but no. so i guess this behaviour is meant to be?

i really hope my bug reports make sense and are not that much confusing and better be of help instead of a pita :)

Thank you for the comment. I'm marking your bug as fixed since the hang is fixed. The "go to next playlist entry" is an another issue and has been pointed by other people too, it'll be handled by a different bug
