Bug Description

Trying to view some mpeg files.
Error message: not negotiated

Someway related to bug 18060. Have no idea what is wrong.

Thanks for your bug. Do you have gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly or gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg installed? Is the .mpg somewhere on the net?

Not at home now, but almost sure i have all of it.
I can see some mpeg files (it hangs when try to play a second time, but it works).
In order to find if it is mpeg1, mpeg2, etc. i tried to see properties in nautilus, but they appear to be the same mpeg type. If there is more information you want in order to realize the difference between those files, just let me know.
The file i reported as a bug, i used in Ubuntu 5.10, Totem and GStreamer 0.8.

Yes, but it is not the kind of movie you should watch in you work environment.

PS.
The movie have no legal restrictions to be viewed, no registration, no credit cards, etc.

Do you still have that issue after the upgrade? In which case a pointer to the .mpg that I could pass to upstream would be welcome (I don't think they have issues with the content of the video)
