Thanks for your bug. What version of the package do you use? Do use use ffmpeg?
Does it happen on a specific video or all the avi ones? Can you get a backtrace
of the crash (the bug-buddy dialog to send the bug upstream has it)?

i'm using totem-gstreamer 1.0.1-ubuntu1. Package ffmpeg 3:0.cvs20050121-1ubuntu1
is installed. it seems not to be happening in all avi videos, you can check it

no crash with the current 1.1.4 version, I'm closing the bug as FIXED. Feel free
to reopen if you get the issue again after updating the package.
