Leaving Fullscreen in Totem causes second monitor to be disabled

Background: Latest Gutsy beta, second monitor configured with "xrandr --output VGA-0 --auto --right-of LVDS", compiz disabled

To Reproduce: Play fullscreen video in Totem on the second monitor for a few minutes. Click "Leave Fullscreen" and output to second monitor will be disabled. Second monitor can then be re-enabled using "xrandr --output VGA-0 --auto --right-of LVDS"

The error message produced in kern.log is:

AFAICS from the gnome bug, this is a bug in Totem and not in the video driver. Except your error message in kern.log which comes from the drm/radeon module in the kernel.

I experience a similar bug, as soon as I enter fullscreen mode, the secondary display configured using xrandr gets disabled.
Also, the fullscreen display is not actually fullscreen, but it's squished horizontally.

This was fixed upstream. Can you try on hardy if it fixes your problem?

I had the same problem yesterday, although I could not reenable the second monitor with the xrandr command. I had to restart my computer.

Tested on Hardy, no longer occurring.
