Bug Description

Binary package hint: totem

When playing a random mp3 file, and totem is showing some opengl visual on the left side, moving the app over the left border of the screen makes the whole system crash. Only the power button helps. I suppose this could by compiz as well...?

Gutsy beta was installed last week
I just updated all the packages - and the problem still occurs.
This time it happened when moving totem to the right (making compiz slide to the next desktop)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a ".crash" file. Please follow these instuctions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer.
If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit.
I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

As off ca. sept last year this problem seems to be solved (improved intel driver etc...?). Unfortunately I won't be able to complete this with a crash report file.
