volume control not attached to totem

Ubuntu 7.10 "Gutsy Gibbon" - Alpha i386 (20070823.5)
LiveCD user
DELL GX 60 1G ram

open file browser
select music file (MP3 in this case on a network drive)
(music is playing <G>)
open volume on Totem to adjust

Select file browser window
Volume control appears in front of whatever window is open.

Just tried this on Hardy on a Toshiba laptop and a Intel based desktop.
It behaved properly.
I would call it Fixed
