Bug Description

I tried to install torchat via the ubuntu the software center and was told by the error console that the package was unable to install. Therefor I proceeded to uninstall torchat and the same error console came up and told that the package was unable to be removed. Keep in mind I run custom version of Ubuntu 12.04.1 64 bit with built in encryption & privacy software it was developed by the pirate party of Canada and maybe somehow they wrote something into the base code to prevent any conflicting programs from overwriting there customized version. Also there might be some unknown security risks, backdoors built into torchat with developer being aware of it who knows.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.
