Bug Description
Binary package hint: tomboy
Now that tomboy has (mostly) working quicklist support in Natty, it would be nice if there was a way to disable the indicator icon when the unity launcher is present. Currently, there is a panel icon and a launcher icon with exactly the same menu.

A suggest solving this with bug #498066 (provide a fallback for lack of indicator support) and bug #497058 (application indicator support) by adding a preference for choosing the place of the menu from a list of possible locations (Unity quicklist, application indicator, notification area) based on what is installed. After that, distributions should provide their preferred default setting and still let the user decide (through preferences) which method to use.
