Bug Description
Binary package hint: tomboy
I'm trying to sync my notes for the first time in many months (possibly a year). I've spent the entire morning cleaning up my notes because of a very old bug with the syncing service. There were changes both locally and on the server. Some stuff seems to sync because it asked me about a conflict, but at the end of the Tomboy reports that the synchronisation failed. Looking at the output from the terminal I see the following traceback:
[ERROR 13:54:53.681] Caught exception. Message: The remote server returned an error: (500) INTERNAL SERVER ERROR.

This happens every time I try to sync.

I haven't been able to sync my notes on Ubuntu One ever, it seems like. I get the exact same error as described above, and have the exact same symptoms. My intuition is that it is happening because of a change in note format a long time ago, before Ubuntu One was released, that is causing the parsing to fail in Ubuntu One.
