Further testing.

Would like to re-classify this bug. As a 9.04 Netbook release issue

Problem can be re-produced by the act of Switching views to Gnome classic view and then rebooting.

Causes Gnome-panel and applications to fail on startup.

summary: - Removal of Tomboy package causes Gnome Desktop to crash on a reboot.
+ 9.04 Netbook remix - switching to 'classic view' and rebooting, causes
+ Gnome Desktop to crash.

I am having this same issue. Only I thought it was due to switching while having some apps open during the switch (pidgin and firefox) because during switch with apps open I got some odd errors. I know, newb move to just have some "odd errors" without anything specific. I figured switching back would fix the problem, but lo and behold at next boot I didn't get any panels. Now I remember removing tomboy as well.
