installed timidity for tuxguitar and got sound but lost sound everywhere else

I had no sound in Tuxguitar so In installed timidity. Now I have sound in Tuxguitar with the timidity settings, but no sound when I play any of Audacious, Banshee, Decibel, Exaile, RhythmBox, or even Movieplayer. This is on a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.10.

Even after setting tuxgutar sound setting to it's original setting, the sound doesn't come back.
