Plus: il I launch tilp as root, it doesn't happen.
Anyway, tilp seems to need to be launched as root to actually transfer anything

I'm not able to reproduce this on my edgy, have you tried this on edgy?

Thanks for your Bug Report, Pierre Slamich. To continue Triaging this bug I will need some further information from you. Can I have your hardware specifications and which applications were open (if any) at the time of starting tilp.

Changed in tilp:

It doesn't crash anymore on Edgy, but using Tilp is a nightmare. The options are not explicit, you have to launch it as sudo, it doesn't work, scares you with messages telling you to backup before use (how). I don't know which port i should use, which cable is mine (silver or gray? anyway silver provokes messages telling me it's invalid, illicit..)

OK. I think that this is a duplicate of bug #49251. This has a lot of information going for it though so maybe that will help a fix.
