Bug Description

tiff is in sync with debian, and version tiff 4.4.0-1[1] enabled lerc support. Unfortunately lerc[2] is in ubuntu universe, and tiff is in main, so we either MIR lerc, or disable it in tiff.

For now, let's disable lerc support.

2. https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lerc

I subscribed to the MIR, and when it's approved, if nobody beats me to it, I'll remove the delta I added to tiff.

This bug was fixed in the package tiff - 4.4.0-4ubuntu1

---------------
tiff (4.4.0-4ubuntu1) kinetic; urgency=medium

  * d/control, d/libtiff5.symbols: drop liblerc-dev build-dependency and
    the TIFFInitLERC symbol since that library is in universe and tiff
    is in main (LP: #1984327)

I decided to retain the ubuntu suffix (see discussion at [1]), and will sync the package the next time there is a debian upload.
