German Language Pack not working after automatic update to thunderbird 12

After auto update of thunderbird to version 12 the german translation of menus and buttons were lost.

The german language pack thunderbird-thunderbird-locale-de 1:12.0.1+build1-0ubuntu0.10.04.1 is marked as installed, reinstalling the packaged didn't solve the problem.

To workaround this bug I had to manually install the language pack xpi file from the mozilla website.

P.S.
I tried to report it against the above mentioned packed but the bug tracker was unable to find it. It was unable to find any thunderbird related packet....
