inserting special characters in new html mail not functional

under windows i can insert special characters into a html mail body. This dialog is not functional here (screenshot attached). It does not help to change the window size.

There are also errors in the javascript console:

You are right, i forgot that thunderbird under windows was on version 6 . After upgrade i have the same bug on windows.
