Bug Description
Binary package hint: thunderbird
In Mozilla Thunderbird, in the status bar at the bottom of the window, on the right side, there is a progress bar that usually shows the progress when you are downloading messages, sending a message, etc. When thunderbird is connecting to the server or waiting for something, it shows a "waiting" animation (bar of fixed size moving from left to right cyclically). When no operation is in progress, this bar should stay idle and empty.
Since I added an IMAP account, this bar ALWAYS shows a never ending "waiting" animation forever and ever even when the program isn't doing anything. My IMAP account works correctly and downloads messages when there are messages to download. It is only the animation that never stops. I attach a screenshot. Note that on the left part of the status bar there is no message saying "waiting for this"/"doing that", which is correct since thunderbird is not doing anything nor waiting for anything.
Before I added the IMAP account, this never happened; the status bar used to work fine and only used to show the animation or progress bar when it was appropriate.
