I tried running:
$ NSPR_LOG_MODULES=imap:5 thunderbird
But there was way too much text being bombarded at me to be able to understand anything. Can you explain, since I haven't done this before, what exactly I'm looking for?
Also, I've noticed that the behavior is a lot more random than I thought it was. I have not been able to successfully "corner" Thunderbird and predict that if I do, XYZ, TB will do this. In my initial comment (#3), what I said sounded like the bug was predictable. It's not so.
