Bug Description

Binary package hint: thunderbird

- Lucid 10.04 Beta 2
- Intel x86 _32
- Thunderbird 3.0.4

I have my entire, 2 years email content stored in Thunderbird files, which are 3.5 Gb large.

The entire system worked well with the first version of Thunderbird which was supplied with Lucid 10.04 Beta 2 first release.

After the update of 15 april 2010, the Thunderbirs starts, try to launch and stops. The program window does not open.
.thunderbird folder which stores the thunderbird data folder renames to "thunderbird.upstream" and 2 "broken links" icons are created in my "home" folder.

When I erase this thunderbird data folder in "home" (.thunderbird), the program launches well and ask me to create the new, empty accounts, "as usual".

If I replace the content of this new empty data folder with my old data files, the data folder renames again to "thunderbird.upstream" and 2 "broken links" icons are created again in "home" folder.

temporary solution: I can rescue my old emails and import them to the Evolution, as "berkley mailboxes". It works.
