Thunderbird does not start / no error message

Binary package hint: thunderbird

As of today (Apr 16, 2010) Thunderbird does no longer start. It also doesn't generate an error message. Please find attached the 'strace' output for Thunderbird.

I fixed the problem following the workaround proposed for bug #563893.
