Thunderbird appeared to hang for a few moments before the application crash window appeared while trying to click into a mail folder.

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. Could you tell us if this is reproducable in the final release of Xubuntu 10.04?

Thunderbird has been crashing a lot recently.
I have Ubuntu 10.04 and thunderbird 3.0.6+build2+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.10.04.1

I enabled apport and this is the crash it reported. Marking the bug as confirmed...
