Bug Description
1. using an installed localised (german) version of thunderbird 1.5.0
2. choose to update this package
3. upon restart of thunderbird click 'cancel' when asked to update language packs
4. the update process of langpacks is interupted and thunderbird starts in the default (=english) version
expected result:
when cancelling an update (to do it at a more convinient time) one expects to be able to restart the update process
actual result:
an update of langpacks is not possible through the gui.
remedy:
include a warning in the update process of thunderbird NOT to cancel update of lang packs or supply alternative way of updating lang packs.
further information:
there is no immediatly obvious gui element in Thunderbird that allows to change to a German version. the language packs in the extension dialog are grayed out and can neither be updated nor uninstalled. The extension dialog reads: "update not supported; install location read only"
