Undo move messages does not work with IMAP

Binary package hint: thunderbird
I have Gmail set up as IMAP in Thunderbird. Delete a message || move the message to the trash, then select Edit > Undo Message Move and it won't move the message from the trash back into the inbox.

Same problem on Karmic, with thunderbird 2.0.0.23 installed from the Karmic repositories. I'm also using google mail IMAP interface.
To recreate:
1. delete a message
2. select "Undo delete message"
3. nothing happens
