Bug Description
Binary package hint: thunderbird
When writing an email, you need to specify who are you sending the mail to (the "To:" field). While you start typing the desired contact, an automatic search through your contacts is done for you.
The problem is this search only searches the beginning of the contact name, while I think It should search every field in every contact you have, looking for any partial match.
For example:
If I start typing "eorg", ThunderBird should offer me at least every george on my contact list, in the drop down menu for me to select from.
Is this possible to implement? Is it too hard?
Thank you!
Ps: I don't know if this is the place to ask for this. If it is not, point me in the right direction and I'll delete this.

Hello Chronos.
Thanks for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with Thunderbird.
You made this bug report in 2008 regarding Thunderbird and there have been several versions of Thunderbird since then.
Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket? Or, if it is still a problem, could you come to Launchpad and make a comment to that effect?
Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu and Thunderbird better.
