Bug Description
Binary package hint: mozilla-thunderbird
version 2.0.0.12 (20080227)
Using with Hardy Heron, since the upgrade the entire system (except the system clock <g>) will lock up some of the times when Thunderbird tries to download mail from one of the servers. We check multiple servers for several accounts. Most of the time, we'll get the "It's not responding, do you want to stop it" box pop up, other times nothing short of a hard reset using the power button does the trick.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? If this is still an issue, could you please answer the following questions:
Are the accounts you're checking all IMAP, all POP3, some other type, or a mixture?
Are the messages causing Thunderbird to freeze large?
Are any of your accounts using GMail?
Thanks in advance!
