Nice point, thanks. I've tried a few weeks ago to find the roots of the issue, but failed even to find the proper source code repository for the Thunderbird.
I do know nothing on the TB/Mozilla code structure and also I am worried about the dependency tree for this issue.. So I expected that somebody with deeper knowledge of the TB internals could finally do something about this issue.. It's already 7 years of it being there..
