Bug Description

Hi,

I just tried to autoconfigure thunderbird under Ubuntu 24.04 following

https://enterprise.thunderbird.net/deploy/mcd-thunderbird-autoconfig

but although I, as a user, can read the config file /etc/thunderbird/defaults/pref/autoconfig.js, thunderbird can't, as strace shows:

18187 openat(AT_FDCWD, "/etc/thunderbird/defaults/pref", O_RDONLY|O_NONBLOCK|O_CLOEXEC|O_DIRECTORY <unfinished ...>

18187 <... openat resumed>) = -1 EACCES (Permission denied)

The apparmor/snap settings seems to keep thunderbird from reading it's config files.
