Bug Description
The version of Thunderbird installed by apt is not current and breaks SMTP send capability.
sudo apt install thunderbird
or
sudo apt-get install thunderbird
Report: thunderbird is already the newest version (1:115.
The fix would be to use the current version, Thunderbird v115.11.1 which resolves the SMTP send capability.

Thunderbird v115.11.0 does not address this issue. Thunderbird v115.11.1 does, however, it is not linked in apt install.
