ubuntu - can't drag & drop mail to personal folder

Binary package hint: thunderbird

I use Thunderbird 2.0.0.6 with Ubuntu/Xubuntu 7.10. In both i have the same error..
Dragging and dropping a email the inbox a personal folder, the email is not move.

I work using right-click and move to, etc

I have this problem from a last update

I have the exact same problems. Look like the old bug in thunderbird:

as you might have noticed, I got a response and have been able to work out some conditions that cause the problem. The activity is currently at the abovementioned bug 79289. I'll of course report any conclusive solutions back to this one. Meanwhile, do have a look to see whether you can contribute/share thoughts?

Diego, good news. I found the source of the problem in my case. The culprit turned out to be alltray - which keeps thunderbird in the system tray, in addition to keeping drag-and-drop from working :)

You might have something similar going on on your system (I imagine many many people will have forged a way to get thunderbird into the system tray, because it's just so darn convenient).
