Bug Description

Thunderbird used to respect the larger system font size set in my GTK theme (can't remember what I used to set it), however after a recent update it has gone back to default which on my monitor is unreadable. This affects the applications UI dialogs such as the sidebar and list of mail on the selected account, emails themselves are displayed correctly using the minimum font size set through edit -> preferences -> display -> advanced.

Hello Robert,
Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with font size in Thunderbird. You made this bug report some time ago and there have been several versions of Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then.

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket?
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to this bug?
If you are, could you run the following (only once):
apport-collect BUGNUMBER
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu and Thunderbird better.

Hi Robert, I haven't forgotten you.
Are you still in Ubuntu 16.04, or did you upgrade to 18.04? Not that you have to upgrade; I just thought I would check with you.
My next step is to try to replicate it on my own computer. I now have three different versions of Thunderbird installed in containers - that's what took me so long to get back to you. I wanted to check your version before I try to replicate it.
Take care
:)
