Bug Description

File -> Subscribe...

I unchecked some folders from the Subscription screen and they disappeared completely from the list. Additionally, once I clicked OK, Thunderbird asked me if I was sure I wanted to Delete the parent folder.

== Reproduce ==

1) Uncheck a folder from the File -> Subscribe... dialog box.

== Expected Behavior ==

1) Box should uncheck.

2) Thunderbird should not prompt to Delete the parent folder.

== Actual Behavior ==

1) Box unchecks.

2) Folder disappears from list and won't show up even after clicking Refresh.

3) Thunderbird prompts to Delete the parent folder after clicking OK.

== Workaround ==

1) Collapse the parent folder.

2) Expand the parent folder.

3) Unchecked folder shows back up in list.

== Notes ==

I found a superuser.com thread about this exact Collapse/Expand problem from three years ago:

It looks like this may have been fixed. Checking and unchecking Subscribe works as expected.

Hello Sean,
Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with Thunderbird. You made this bug report in 2015 and there have been several versions of Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then.

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket?
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to this bug?
If you are, could you run the following (only once):
apport-collect BUGNUMBER
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu and Thunderbird better.
