Bug Description

I've made an upgrade to gutsy beta. I was using Mozilla Thunderbird as my default mail program. Now, when I press mail button i got message like "Cannot run the command: mozilla-thunderbird. Please check if this a correct command." Also clicking an email address in firefox don't work. Propably that's caused because command name has changed to "thunderbird".

I've opened "preferred applications" and realized that my gutsy has wrong settings there. In Web Browser in combo box where I can choose browser I had "custom settings" selected, with path like /usr/lib/firefox %s (or something like that). The same in Mail app settings - there were custom path like "mozilla-thunderbird %s". I'm sure that I hadn't got any custom paths there.

Changing to "Thunderbird" in combo box fixes the problem but that should work out of the box.

Some more details:

After I changed custom Web browser path to Firefox, my firefox asked me if I want to select it as a default browser. I answered "yes" (it was stupid that he asked, it already was a default browser) and I realized that it has changed path to custom one.

Maybe thunderbird does the same? I don't remember if it had asked me in past about being default mail application. If yes, it propably changed setting to custom one and package upgrade don't seeks for that kind of situation, don't seeks for custom paths settings.

How can I test it with making new profile? I have already upgraded thunderbird, so making new theme would not show anything related to losing configuration during upgrade?
